SUMMER SEASON 2026/27
WHEN
Saturday mornings, October to March.
WHERE
John Landy Field, South Geelong.
WHO
Ages 5 to 17. All abilities welcome.
WHAT IS LITTLE ATHS
Personal bests, not just first places
Little aths is where kids run, jump and throw their way through a season and where the measure of a good day is beating their own personal best, not finishing first.
They'll try a range of events through a rotating weekly program across the season – sprints, distance, hurdles, relays, long jump, high jump, shot put, discus or javelin – and pick up the kind of confidence that shows up well beyond the track.
WHY EAST GEELONG
A club you'll want to turn up for
Small community club with deep local roots
We've been part of the East Geelong community since the 1990s. Local families come together week after week, getting to know each other and making lifelong friendships.
All abilities welcome
From the child who has never run a race to the one chasing a centre record – the program has room for all.
Weekly training
Our qualified coaches teach skills from scratch, enabling kids to participate with confidence.
Everyone pitches in, no experience needed
Saturdays run on volunteers and we'll show you the ropes on the spot. Lending a hand a few times over the season goes a long way.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Keep active.
Mornings full of running, jumping and throwing & weekly training to build skills and confidence.
Have fun.
Kids stay in sport when they enjoy it. Everything our club does starts there.
Belong.
Local families, week after week. Lifelong friendships. That's the club.
WHO RUNS THE CLUB
The club runs entirely on parents and carers giving up a little time. There are formal roles on the committee and plenty of informal ones – whether it's setting up on the day or helping run an event a few times during the season. No experience is needed and nobody is thrown in the deep end – we'll show you the ropes.
